What is it? Have you been trying to get your splits forever and can’t seem to make it happen? The good news is that while it IS a challenging pose and difficult to master, it doesn’t have to be impossible. Sometimes all it takes is just the right guidance and sequencing. In this series, we’ll carefully and effectively release tension and tightness through the hips, quadriceps, hamstrings, and lower back so that we’re less restricted and more open. You’ll be guided through specific sequencing in each class that gets you as ready as you can possibly be. In addition to this being a beautiful pose, it has several functional benefits as well: from stretching the hips and groin to strengthening the pelvic floor muscles, so sure, you’ll feel accomplished, but you’ll feel fantastic by the end, too!
What level is this class? A bit of yoga experience suggested. This shouldn’t be your first foray in to a yoga practice, but it’s friendly for people just learning the Splits.
